Whipped Cream
- 1 cup cold heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon sugar, or to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- In a cold stainless-steel bowl, whisk together: 1 cup cold heavy cream, 1 tablespoon sugar, or to taste, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract.
- Keep whisking until the cream just holds a soft shape.
- Add 1/8 teaspoon orange flower water.
- Instead of using vanilla extract, split a 1-inch piece of vanilla bean and scrape its seeds into the cream.
- Stir in about 1 tablespoon rum, Cognac, Calvados, or another strong-flavored liqueur.
