BBQ Beef Brisket
- 3/4 cup oil
- 6 each beef briskets
- 3-1/2 qt. BULL'S-EYE Original Barbecue Sauce, divided
- 3 qt. chicken broth
- 3 cups onions, chopped King Sooper's 1 lb For $0.99 thru 02/09
- 6 Tbsp. garlic, minced
- Heat oil in large skillet on medium-high heat.
- Add meat; cook 2 min.
- on each side or until browned on both sides.
- Place 1 brisket in each of six half-steam table pans (or in one half-steam table pan for trial recipe).
- Mix 1-1/2 qt.
- of the barbecue sauce (or 1 cup of the sauce for trial recipe), the chicken broth, onions and garlic.
- Pour evenly over meat in pans; cover with foil.
- Bake in 350 degrees F-convection oven 2 to 2-1/2 hours or until meat is very tender.
- Cool meat; drain.
- Shred meat; cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
- Mix meat with remaining 2 qt.
- barbecue sauce (or with remaining 1-1/3 cups barbecue sauce for trial recipe) in large saucepan.
- Cook on medium-low heat until heated through, stirring occasionally.
