Louise's Sweet N Sour Pork

  1. Cook meat the night before in hot bacon fat until brown.
  2. Drain pineapple (keep syrup).
  3. Combine water, brown sugar and vinegar, corn starch, salt, soya sauce and 3/4 to 1 cup of pineapple syrup.
  4. Cook until clear and slightly thickened (2 minutes).
  5. Add meat, cook covered over low heat, for 1 hour or until tender.
  6. Refrigerate 30 minutes.
  7. Before serving, heat mixture until hot.
  8. Add green peppers, pineapple and onions.
  9. Cook for 2 minutes.
  10. Serve with hot fluffy rice.
