Brad's smoked bacon taco poppers

  1. Remove tops of jalapenos.
  2. Cut in half and remove seeds.
  3. Mix room temperature cream cheese, salsa, and taco seasoning in a lg mixing bowl.
  4. Load jalapeno halves with mixture.
  5. Wrap with a slice of bacon.
  6. Secure with a toothpick if needed
  7. Place on the middle rack of a smoker.
  8. Smoke between 150-200 degrees for 2-3 hours.
  9. I used hickory but any hardwood will work
  10. Remove to a baking dish and finish in the oven at 400F until peppers are done
  11. Serve warm
