Red Beans and Rice for Dummies!

  1. Bring the water to a boil.
  2. Add the rice and bullion cube and allow to simmer until liquid is completely absorbed, about 20 minutes.
  3. Slice sausage and cook in a skillet over medium-low heat.
  4. Stir in onion powder, bell pepper and garlic.
  5. Saute until the pepper is tender.
  6. Add the beans, tomato and spices.
  7. Simmer 20 minutes.
  8. Serve over the prepared rice.
