Honey Butter Popcorn with Toasted Pecans
- 2 ounces, weight Pecans, Toasted And Roughly Chopped
- 1 Tablespoon Coconut Oil, Unrefined
- 1/2 cups Popcorn Kernels
- 1 pinch Kosher Salt To Taste
- 2 Tablespoons Honey
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- Place whole raw pecans in a dry pan and toast on medium low heat until toasted and fragrant (keep your eye on these so they dont burn!).
- Slightly cool and then roughly chop.
- Set aside and start on the popcorn!
- Heat the coconut oil in a deep pot over medium high heat and add one corn kernel.
- When it pops, you know the oil is hot enough, so add the rest of the kernels forming a single layer.
- Cover the pot and shake until popcorn is done popping (you will know its done when you notice a long pause in between popping).
- Toss popcorn with the toasted chopped pecans and season with salt to taste.
- In a small sauce pan, melt butter and honey until combined.
- Drizzle the honey butter over the popcorn and pecans and toss!
