Sadie's Oatmeal Macaroons
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 13 cup butter
- 1 each eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 23 cup flour, all-purpose
- 5 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 13 cup milk
- 2 cups oatmeal rolled
- Cream the sugar, butter and egg until light and fluffy.
- Blend in the vanilla and almond extract.
- Sift together the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt.
- Add to creamed mixture alternately with the milk.
- Mix well and stir in the oats.
- Drop by tablespoons on greased baking sheet.
- Bake in a 350F (180C) F oven for 12 to 15 minutes, cool on wire cake rack.
