Stuffed Strip Loin Steak.

  1. Make sure that you remove your steaks from the fridge.
  2. It's always best to get your meat to room temperature before you cook it.
  3. In a preheated frying pan over a high heat, fry the bacon, onion and garlic with the olive oil.
  4. Set aside to cool.
  5. Mix the cheese and anchovies with the fried onion and bacon.
  6. With a sharp paring knife, cut a slit about 2cm wide and create a pocket in the steak by moving the knife deeper into the steak, most of the way through the steak.
  7. Be careful that you don't cut thru the sides of the steak.
  8. Stuff the steaks with the stuffing.
  9. Close the opening with a toothpick or two.
  10. Season with salt and pepper.
  11. Remember not too much salt because of the anchovies.
  12. Preheated a griddle pan on high heat.
  13. Using the butter fry the steaks for 4-5 minutes aside for meduim rare, depending on the thickness of your steaks.
  14. (You can also grill the steaks outside on the grill/bbq/braai) Set aside, cover and let them rest for at least 5 minutes.
  15. Here is some suggestions for side dishes;

loin steak, butter, olive oil, bacon, clove garlic, onion, anchovy, cheddar cheese
