Bavarian Pork Recipe

  1. In 1 Tbsp.
  2. of oil, saute/fry garlic; then lightly flour pork and brown till golden brown.
  3. Remove pork and set aside.
  4. In same skillet, add in another Tbsp.
  5. of oil; saute/fry scallions and mushrooms.
  6. Return pork to pan; sprinkle with thyme.
  7. Add in 8-12 ounce beer, depending on thickness of cut; bring to boil (the alcohol evaporates and leaves a "malt" flavor, so thedarker the brand, the better).
  8. Cover and simmer 8 min for thin, 15-20 min for thick.
  9. Spoon sauce over meat to serve.
  10. For a richer sauce, add in 1-2 Tbsp.
