Easy Meatloaf
- 1- 1/2 pound Ground Turkey Or Chuck
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 cups Bread Crumbs
- 1 teaspoon Water
- 1/2 cups Tomato Sauce
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 cups Chopped Onion (optional)
- 3 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
- 1 Tablespoon Balsamic (or Red Wine) Vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Yellow Mustard
- 1 teaspoon Water
- 1/2 cups Tomato Sauce
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
- In a large bowl, combine meat, egg, breadcrumbs, water, tomato sauce, salt, onions (optional), and any other add-ins that you would like.
- Mix gently with a fork.
- Place the meat in a greased loaf pan or a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
- If you use the cookie sheet method, shape meat into a rectangle shape.
- For the sauce, mix brown sugar, balsamic or red wine vinegar, yellow mustard, water and tomato sauce together in a small bowl.
- Use less brown sugar if you want to cut down on the sweetness.
- In a pinch, I have used ketchup on top.
- Cover meatloaf with sauce.
- Bake uncovered approximately 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
- If you have a meat thermometer, it should read approximately 160 degrees F.
- You can enjoy this meal with a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon.
