Super Delicious!! Pork & Daikon Simmer
- 200 grams Pork, thinly cut (off-cuts)
- 1/2 Daikon radish
- 1 piece Ginger
- 2 tbsp each Sake and mirin
- 1 1/2 tbsp Sugar
- 2 1/2 tbsp Soy sauce
- Cut the pork into bite-sized pieces.
- Wash the daikon and cut into 2 - 3 cm pieces, then cut in half.
- Mince the ginger and combine with the ingredients.
- Heat 1 to 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil (not listed) in a pot, then cook the ginger.
- Add the pork and cook on high heat.
- Once the meat changes color.
- add the daikon and cook until golden brown.
- Add the combined ingredients and enough water to cover.
- Cover with a lid and boil on medium heat until the moisture cooks off.
- Be sure to stir frequently while cooking!
- With potatoes to boost heartiness.
