Sweet Lemon Honey & Thyme Cough Syrup
- 1/2 lemon - sliced
- handful fresh thyme - can use dried
- 1/2 cup Honey
- 1 pint water (2 cups)
- Place lemon in a pint jar.
- Cover with the honey.
- The honey will macerate the lemons and draw out liquids.
- Meanwhile toss the thyme leaves into a saucepan and cover with water.
- Bring water to a gently simmer .
- Reduce heat by 1/2.
- ( 1 cup).. cool a bit.
- Strain .
- Add it to the jar and stir well.
- Cover it.
- Shake and use a Spoonfull as needed.Store in Refrigator for about 1 month.
