Black Mission Fig Oatmeal Cookies Recipe

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Using a mixer, cream the butter with the brown sugar and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the Large eggs, vanilla, and lowfat milk.
  4. While mixing on low speed, add in the egg mix to the butter.
  5. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking pwdr and baking soda.
  6. Stir in the rolled oats.
  7. With the mixer on low speed, add in these dry ingredients to the wet ingredients one c. at a time.
  8. Scrape the sides of the bowl with a spatula and continue mixing till the dough is just combined.
  9. Add in the minced figs or possibly raisins and mix just sufficient to proportionately distribute them throughout the dough.
  10. Grease a nonstick cookie sheet.
  11. Drop the dough on the pan in 2-Tbsp.
  12. portions at least 2 inches apart.
  13. Bake for 15 to 17 min or possibly till the edges of the cookies are lightly browning.
  14. Remove from oven and allow to cold on the pan or possibly on a wire rack.
  15. Store in an airtight container.
