Ayam Petis (Indonesia) Recipe

  2. Dry the chicken.

  4. Heat oil, stir fry the onion.

  6. Add in garlic, petis, sambal, tumeric, salt and pepper.
  7. Stir and then add in chicken.

  9. Stirring constantly, add in the coconut lowfat milk.
  10. Bring to a boil, then reduce and simmer gently for 30 min.

  12. Remove chicken, and leave sauce.
  13. Boil till it thickens.
  14. Then add in sugar and lemon juice.
  15. 6.
  16. Add in shrimp and cook for about 3-4 min... till cooked.
  17. 7.
  18. Present with chicken covered in sauce and decorate with coriander.
