No-Guilt Refried Beans

  1. Combine beans, salsa, onion and garlic powder in 2-quart saucepan.
  2. Bring mixture to boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
  3. Reduce heat to medium-low.
  4. Simmer for 7-10 minutes, or until onion is translucent, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add margarine.
  6. Stir until melted.
  7. In food processor or blender, process mixture until smooth.
  8. Serve as a taco or burrito ingredient, side dish, or as a dip to chips or vegetables.
