Caramel Pecan Fudge Bars Nationalstatefairbuttercookie Recipe

  1. Instructions: Heat oven to 350 F. Combine sugar, flour, cocoa and salt in medium bowl.
  2. Stir in butter, Large eggs and vanilla; mix well.
  3. Spread batter into greased 13x9-inch baking pan.
  4. Arrange pecan halves proportionately on batter (6 rows crosswise and 6 rows lengthwise).
  5. Bake for 25 to 30 min or possibly till toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  6. Place caramel topping in small microwave-safe bowl.
  7. Microwave on HIGH till warm and bubbly (1 to 2 min).
  8. Stir minced pecans into caramel dip.
  9. Spread proportionately over warm bars.
  10. Place fudge topping in another small microwave-safe bowl.
  11. Microwave on HIGH till warm (about 1 minute).
  12. Drizzle fudge topping over caramel-pecan mix.
  13. Cold completely.
  14. Cut into bars.
  15. *or possibly caramel apple dip
  16. TIP: Chill bars about 1 hour for easier cutting.
  17. Serve at room temperature.
  18. Yield: 36 bars
  19. Preparation 20 minutes.
  20. Baking 25 minutes.
