Chicks in a Blanket
- 1 package (about 24 Oz. Package) Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast
- 1 pound Center Cut Lean Bacon
- 1 jar (Small 4 Oz. Jar) Coarse Mustard
- 1 clove Minced Garlic
- 6 Tablespoons Honey
- Seasonings Such As Seasoned Salt, Or Lemon Pepper, Or Just Plain Salt And Pepper
- Rinse your chicken breasts under cold water and pat dry.
- Cut each breast into narrow strips.
- You can either cut them across the width or the length depending on how large you want each one.
- Throw these into a bowl and toss with ample seasonings of your choice.
- You could even marinate these in Worcestershire or something else if you want even more flavor.
- Cut your entire package of bacon right down the middle so each strip becomes two.
- Wrap a piece of bacon around a piece of chicken and lay in a foil-lined pan (for the sake of cleaning).
- Do this for all your chicken and bacon.
- Mix the coarse mustard, garlic and honey together.
- My measurements are approximate because I just kept adding until I got a taste that was pleasing to me.
- Baste your chicken/bacon pieces really well with the honey/mustard mixture and broil in the oven until bacon is crisp on one side.
- Remove and turn over the chicken/bacon pieces and baste again and return to the oven to broil the other side.
- If your bacon is crisp, the chicken should be done.
- If not, just put it back in the oven on bake for a few more minutes.
- You wont be able to stop eating these once you start, so fair warning!
