Sombrero Spread
- 1 pound Ground Beef
- 16 ounces, weight Can Kidney Beans
- 1/2 cups Ketchup
- 3 teaspoons Chili Powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 bag Tortilla Chips
- 1 cup Cheddar Cheese, Shredded
- 1/4 cups Black Olives Sliced
- 1/4 cups Tomatoes, Chopped
- 1 whole Green Onion, Sliced
- 1/2 cups Sour Cream
- Brown ground beef in a skillet and drain.
- Add a 16-oz.
- can of kidney beans (with the liquid) to the skillet over medium heat.
- Mash the kidney beans into the beef with a potato masher.
- Add ketchup (you can use hot ketchup to add more spice), chili powder, and salt.
- Mix thoroughly and heat through.
- Place the meat mixture in the center of a large bowl, leaving room to add tortilla chips around the edge.
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese, sliced black olives, chopped tomatoes, sliced green onions, and dollops of sour cream.
