Ultimate Chocolate Lovers' Cherry Cake!

  1. Sprinkle 1/4c almonds evenly over the bottom of a greased-and-floured 10-inch Bundt pan.
  2. In a large bowl, stir together cake mix,sugar and cocoa.
  3. Add eggs, Oil, Rum or extract and Pie filling.
  4. Beat until well blended and cherries are chopped up.
  5. Stir in coconut, remaining almonds and chocolate chips.
  6. Pour into prepared pan and bake at 350* for 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean when tested.
  7. Cool on rack for 10 minutes.
  8. Invert onto rack and cool completely.
