Ozoni (Mochi Soup)

  1. These are the ingredients.
  2. Chop the daikon radish and carrots into wedges, and the chicken thigh into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Put the ingredients and the daikon and carrots into a sauce pan, bring to a boil, then add the chicken.
  4. Skim off the surface scum.
  5. Once the ingredients are cooked through, reduce heat to low, add the sliced naruto and mochi, and stew until tender.
  6. Transfer to individual bowls, garnish with springs of mitsuba, then serve.
