Bisquick Beef Pizza
- 1 cup biscuit baking mix (bisquick)
- 3 tablespoons water
- 1/4 pound ground beef
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano leaves
- 18 teaspoon garlic powder
- 13 cup tomato puree (passata)
- 1 each onions small, very thinly sliced
- 1/2 each green bell peppers medium, cut in very thin strips
- 1/4 cup american cheese process, shredded
- Preheat oven to 425F (220C).
- Lightly grease a baking sheet or pizza pan.
- Stir biscuit mix and water together until mix is barely moistened.
- Knead 15 times on a lightly floured surface.
- Pat or roll dough into an 8-inch circle on baking sheet or pizza.
- Turn up edge of dough slightly to form a rim.
- Bake until surface begins to dry; about 6 minutes.
- Brown beef in hot frying pan.
- Drain.
- Stir oregano and garlic powder into puree.
- Spread over hot crust.
- Sprinkle with browned beef, onion, and green pepper and top with cheese.
- Bake until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown.
- Cut into 4 wedges.
