Strawberry Jam Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 350F and grease/flour two 9" round cake pans.
  2. Whip egg whites to stiff peaks; set aside.
  3. Cream butter; add sugar gradually and beat until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat egg yolks and add to batter.
  5. Add spices to coffee; add jam and stir into batter.
  6. Add soda to sour cream.
  7. Add to batter alternatively with the flour.
  8. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
  9. Pour into prepared pans and bake for about 30 minutes or until cakes test done.
  10. Frost with your favorite frosting.
