Buttery Rice Pilaf Recipe
- 1/4 c. Margarine, (1/2 stick)
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2 c. Long-grain white rice
- 4 c. Water
- 1/4 c. Butter, diced (1/2 stick) Minced fresh parsley
- Heat margarine in heavy large saucepan over medium-high heat.
- Fold in 1 tsp.
- salt, then rice.
- Saute/fry till rice is golden brown, about 8 min.
- Add in water.
- Boil till water is absorbed, about 10 min.
- Fold in butter.
- Cover, reduce heat to very low and cook till rice is tender, stirring occasionally, about 10 min.
- Transfer pilaf to bowl.
- Sprinkle with parsley and serve.
- Serves 6.
