Pizza Stuffed Pretzels

  1. 1) Roll the pizza dough out on a lightly floured surface and cut into four strips of fairly equal lengths.
  2. 2) Then lightly spread pizza sauce down the middle of each strip.
  3. Carefully make a line of shredded cheese & pepperoni down the middle as well.
  4. Be careful not to add too much!
  5. 3) Begin to roll edges together, pinching the seam shut.
  6. You may want to use a smidge of water to make it sticky.
  7. Keep rolling and pinching until you have a pizza tube.
  8. 4) Carefully wrap into a pretzel shape: bring end pieces around to make a U, then bring each tip in and over the middle of the Us bottom.
  9. 5) Place on a baking sheet.
  10. I used stoneware and it worked beautifully; the edges were slightly crisp.
  11. Next, mix one egg white with 1 tablespoon Italian or pizza seasonings and brush over the pretzel tops.
  12. 6) Bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
