Baked Asparagus Casserole
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons diced onion
- 2 tablespoons diced celery
- 2 tablespoons dry bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon ground thyme
- 2 slices tomato
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Coat a baking dish with melted butter and arrange asparagus in a single layer. Sprinkle onion, celery, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, oregano, and thyme over asparagus; top with tomato slices.
- Bake in the preheated oven until asparagus is tender and top is golden brown, about 45 minutes.
