Whole Wheat Mix For Pancakes Or Biscuits Recipe
- 8 c. flour
- 2 c. whole wheat flour
- 1 c. powdered lowfat milk
- 2 c. veg. shortening
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. baking pwdr
- 1 tbsp. salt
- In large bowl, mix dry ingredients.
- Cut in shortening till it resembles coarse meal.
- Store in closed container.
- To make biscuits, make a well with 1 1/2 c. mix, add in 1/3 c. water.
- Stir quickly with fork till all is moistened.
- Bake in muffin tins at 350 degrees.
- To make pancakes, beat 1 egg in a bowl, add in 1 c. water, then 2 c. mix.
- Bake on warm griddle.
