Chicken noodles with fried bread
- 1 lb baby carrots
- 12 oz wide egg noodles
- 2 1/2 lb chicken breasts boneless and skinless
- 1 tbsp white pepper
- 1 1/2 tsp celery salt
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 4 quart water
- 1/2 tsp sage
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sr flour
- 1 cup sr flour
- 2 cup sr cornmeal finely ground
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp chives oil
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- Boil water add chicken and carrots
- Add pepper, celery salt, salt, sage, let boil till carrots covered about 15 minutes until they are almost done shred the chicken add back to pot
- Make a roux melt the butter with 1 cup sr flour stir till like a thick batter add to chicken and stock stirring constantly till tickened add noodles cook till done
- In a bowl add all your ingredients for fried bread make a thick batter
- Get a frying pan hot add oil to fry with maybe start with quarter cup but add as you need it
- Add small puddles of batter to hot oil in pan cook for 2-3 minutes then flip bread cook another 2 minutes on second side if any raw batter got on some of the cooked side flip again till raww batter gets cooked
- When done add to paper towel to absorb excess oil serve with chicken noodles hope you enjoy
