Sweet Onion and Pork Salad with Garlic and Mayo
- 2 Sweet onions
- 300 grams Pork (for shabu-shabu, or thinly sliced pork)
- 1/2 pack Daikon radish sprouts
- 20 grams Mayonnaise
- 3 cm's worth Grated garlic
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1 tbsp Vinegar
- 2 1/2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Sesame oil
- 1 Ground white sesame seeds
- Using a whisk, mix all ingredients with a whisk.
- Add the soy sauce and sesame oil in order, and mix some more.
- Thinly slice the sweet onion with a slicer.
- Check out the photo - slice the onion in this angle so that it's against the grain.
- Boil the pork and drain in a colander.
- Set it aside so that any excess water will be drained off.
- While the meat is still warm, add it into the bowl of mixture from Step 2.
- Let the pork absorb the flavor.
- When the meat has slightly cooled down, add the onion from Step 3 and also the daikon radish sprouts.
- Mix everything together.
- Set it aside for a while.
- The onion will become soften and the flavors will together.
- Plate and top with some sesame seeds.
