Fruit Bread Pudding
- 12 slices bread, crusts removed
- 1/2 cup Kraft Pure Jam or Jelly
- 1 1/2 cups sliced fresh plums (or use peaches, pears or apricots)
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp. grated lemon rind Safeway 4 ct For $5.00 thru 02/09
- HEAT oven to 350F (180C).
- REMOVE crusts from bread.
- Cut in half diagonally.
- Arrange 10 triangles around sides of greased 10 inch (25 cm) pie plate or quiche dish.
- SPREAD 4 triangles with jam.
- Place in bottom of pie plate.
- Layer 4 more triangles and half the fruit.
- Repeat layers.
- CUT remaining triangles in half.
- Arrange in centre.
- BEAT eggs with milk, sugar and lemon rind.
- Pour over bread.
- BAKE 30 - 35 minutes.
