Banana Chocolate Cream Pie Recipe

  1. Mix the sugar, cornstarch, 1/4 c. cocoa and salt in top of a double boiler.
  2. Blend in 1/2 c. lowfat milk and yolks; stir till smooth.
  3. Stir in the remaining lowfat milk.
  4. Cook cocoa mix over boiling water, stirring continually, till thickened (about 5 min).
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Stir in vanilla.
  7. Cold slightly.
  8. Arrange a third of banana slices in piecrust.
  9. Spoon half the chocolate mix over bananas.
  10. Repeat layering; cover loosely.
  11. Chill for 15 min.
  12. Beat the cream with an electric mixer set at high speed till soft peaks form, about 5 min.
  13. Top each serving with whipped cream.
  14. Garnish with remaining banana slices and cocoa.
  15. Servings: 6.
