Ww Modified Double Chocolate Brownies

  1. Preheat oven 350F
  2. Spray an 8x8x2'' cake pan with nonstick spray, set aside.
  3. Beat eggs with an electric mixer for about 4 minutes, until it reaches custard-like consistency and doubles in volume.
  4. Beat in sugar 1 tbsp a time, mix well.
  5. Stir in liqueur.
  6. In a small bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt and baking powder.
  7. Stir into egg mixture, fold until combined.
  8. Pour into pan, bake 20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
  9. Remove to wire rack and cool.
  10. In a microwavable container melt chocolate chips.
  11. Pour over brownies.
  12. Stir in walnuts while chocolate is warm, if using.
  13. Cut into 16 equal squares.
  14. Suggested varations: substitute 1 oz peanut butter for chocolate chips.
