Barbecue Beans
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 c. chopped onion
- 2 (3 oz.) cans pork and beans
- 1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans
- 1 (15 oz.) can red beans
- 1 (15 oz.) can lima beans
- 1/2 lb. sliced bacon, chopped into pieces, cooked and drained
- 1 1/2 c. barbecue sauce
- 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. liquid smoke
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- In a Dutch oven cook ground beef and onion until meat is brown and onion is tender.
- Drain fat.
- In a colander, drain one can of the pork and beans, kidney beans, read beans and lima beans.
- Place in the Dutch oven all the beans, the bacon, the barbecue sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, liquid smoke, salt and pepper.
- Cover and bake in 350u0b0 oven about 1 hour or until thoroughly heated.
- Serves 24.
