Hearty Cajun Chili With Rotelle
- 0.5 (8 ounce) package rotelle pasta, Uncooked
- 2 lbs ground turkey or 2 lbs chicken
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans cajun-style stewed tomatoes
- 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 3 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 12 teaspoon salt
- Cook pasta according to package directions.
- In large saucepan, over medium heat, cook and stir turkey, onion and garlic in oil until turkey is no longer pink.
- Add remaining ingredients except pasta; mix well.
- Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer covered for 45 minutes.
- Stir pasta into chili; heat through.
