Fettuccini Bolognese

  1. Heat oil in heavy pan, add onion and cook until soft.
  2. Add garlic and cook 1 minute.
  3. Add meat and cook on high 5 minutes until browned.
  4. Add mushrooms, basil, tomatoes, paste, oregano, and water.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer.
  6. Cook uncovered 1 1/2 hours, or until thick.
  7. Cook noodles and add sauce.
  8. Sprinkle parmasean cheese as garnish (optional).
