Apple Pecan Pastries

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Mix brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  3. Add apples, pecans and butter; toss to coat.
  4. Unfold crescent roll on a lightly flour surface, so that it doesn't stick to surface.
  5. Brush lightly with water.
  6. (I use apple juice).
  7. With long side facing you, spoon apple mixture on dough to within 2" of long side and all the way to short sides.
  8. Starting at the long side, roll up like a jelly roll.
  9. Cut into 12, 1 1/4" slices.
  10. (I use un-flavored dental floss).
  11. Place 2" apart on a greased baking sheet.
  12. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  13. Remove from baking sheet and cool on a wire rack.
  14. Sprinkle with powdered sugar OR you can make a glaze, I have done both.

crescent rolls, brown sugar, flour, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, granny smith apples, pecans, cold butter, powdered sugar
