Crab and Asparagus Supreme

  1. Cook asparagus according to package, drain well; set aside.
  2. In medium sauce pan cook mushrooms & onion in margarine till onion is tender but not brown.
  3. Stir in cornstarch, salt, nutmeg, & pepper.
  4. Stir in milk all at once.
  5. Cook and stir until thickened & bubbly.
  6. Cook & stir for 1 minute more.
  7. Stir in crab & asparagus.
  8. Spoon mixture into small baking dish.
  9. In small bowl stir together almonds & parm.
  10. Sprinkle atop casserole.
  11. Bake in a 400 degrees oven for 10-15mins or until mixture is heated through and cheese is browned.
