Hot Spiced Sangria

  1. Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker.
  2. Put setting on HIGH for 1 hour.
  3. Reduce to warm to hold temperature.
  4. Ladle into glasses from slow cooker.
  5. Be sure to include some fruit in the glasses.
  6. Garnish with orange peel.
  7. 1 cup sugar
  8. 1 cup water
  9. 1 orange, zested
  10. Combine the sugar, water and zest in a saucepan.
  11. Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer.
  12. Stirring occasionally, simmer for 5 minutes or until sugar is dissolved.
