Cherry Chocolate Kiss Cookies

  1. Heat oven to 350.
  2. In a large bowl combine sugar, butter, cherry juice and almond extract.
  3. Blend well.
  4. Add flour and salt.
  5. Stir in cherries.
  6. Shape dough into 1 inch balls.
  7. Place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  8. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
  9. Immediately top each cookie with a chocolate kiss, pressing down firmly.
  10. Remove from cookie sheet.
  11. Cool completely, until chocolate kisses are set.
