Slightly Sweetened Glazed Pork Rice Bowl

  1. Cut the pork into easy to eat pieces.
  2. Make small cuts in the fat.
  3. Heat sesame oil in a frying pan and fry the meat.
  4. Sprinkle the sugar over the meat, and stir fry while coating the meat with the sugar until the meat changes color.
  5. Add 2 tablespoons of mentsuyu, 1 tablespoon of mirin and grated garlic to the pan and rapidly reduce the glaze over high heat.
  6. Serve rice in a bowl and top with torn nori seaweed.
  7. Lay the meat slices on top and pour over the leftover glaze.
  8. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and it's done.
