Slightly Sweetened Glazed Pork Rice Bowl
- 2 to 3 Pork loin slices
- 1 tsp Light brown sugar
- 2 tbsp Mentsuyu (5x concentrate)
- 1 tbsp Mirin
- 1 Grated garlic (from a tube or powdered garlic)
- 1 dash Sesame oil
- 1/3 sheet Nori seaweed
- 1 bowlful Plain cooked rice
- 1 White sesame seeds
- Cut the pork into easy to eat pieces.
- Make small cuts in the fat.
- Heat sesame oil in a frying pan and fry the meat.
- Sprinkle the sugar over the meat, and stir fry while coating the meat with the sugar until the meat changes color.
- Add 2 tablespoons of mentsuyu, 1 tablespoon of mirin and grated garlic to the pan and rapidly reduce the glaze over high heat.
- Serve rice in a bowl and top with torn nori seaweed.
- Lay the meat slices on top and pour over the leftover glaze.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds and it's done.
