The Secret to Making Soft Tonkatsu
- 2 pieces Pork loin or thigh meat
- 1 dash of each Salt and pepper
- 1 Plain flour
- 1 Egg
- 1 Panko
- Pound the pork meat thoroughly with a rolling pin.
- After thinning out the pieces of pork by pounding, use your hands to reshape them to their original size.
- Season both sides with salt and pepper, and coat in the ingredients in the order listed (i.e.
- flour, egg, then panko).
- Deep fry in oil at 170-180C and serve!
