Banana Chips - India

  1. Peel and put bananas in a bowl with plenty of salted iced water.
  2. Slice bananas with a chip slicer, then put back into water.
  3. Next, mix in the ground turmeric.
  4. Leave the bananas in the turmeric water mixture for 10 minutes, then remove from water.
  5. Spread out on a kitchen cloth to get rid of moisture.
  6. Heat up the oil in a wok till smoky.
  7. Fry banana slices in one-layer batches for a minute or two or until crisp.
  8. Lift chips out with slotted spoon and remove to paper towels to drain, sprinkle with salt before serving and enjoy.
