Cabbage And Dumpling Soup Recipe

  1. Dumplings: Blend tofu with water until smooth.
  2. Sift dry ingredients.
  3. Stir in tofu mix.
  4. Knead for 1 minute, form into 1/2" balls & set aside.
  5. Soup: Mince core of cabbage & shred leaves finely.
  6. Heat oil in soup pot.
  7. Add in cabbage & saute/fry over medium heat til golden brown.
  8. Add in water & bay leaf.
  9. Return to a boil, add in dumplings, cover & simmer for 15 to 20 min.
  10. The dumplings should be floating on the top at this point.
  11. Remove bay leaf.
  12. Dilute soy sauce in a bit of the broth, add in to the soup.
  13. Simmer for another 5 min.
  14. Serve, garnishing with scallions.
