Biscuit Pull Apart Coffee Cake Recipe
- 2 can refrigerated biscuits
- 1 stk butter/margarine, melted
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 x to 2 teaspoon cinnamon (to taste)
- 1/4 c. minced pecans or possibly walnuts (optional)
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees; spray large pie plate with non-stick spray.
- In a small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon.
- Cut biscuits roughly into halves.
- Roll several halves at a time first in butter, then in sugar mix; arrange randomly in pie plate.
- When all biscuits have been coated, press proportionately into pie plate.
- Sprinkle with any remaining sugar mix and the minced nuts; drizzle with remaining butter.
- Bake for 25-30 min or possibly till lightly golden brown and center is hard.
- Allow to cold for 5-10 min before serving; best served hot.
- Variation: Stir 1 Tbsp.
- finely grated orange zest into melted butter; omit cinnamon.
- Proceed as directed above.
