Black Bottom Strawberry Pie
- 3 envelopes premelted chocolate (unsweetened)
- 1/2 c. powdered sugar
- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla
- 1 (8 or 9-inch) graham crumb crust
- 1 (3 oz.) pkg. vanilla pudding
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 (9 oz.) container whipped topping, thawed
- 1/2 c. flaked coconut
- 1 pt. strawberries
- In small bowl, combine first 4 ingredients until smooth; spread into crust.
- Chill while preparing filling.
- In medium bowl, combine pudding mix and milk with electric mixer; beat at low speed for 2 minutes.
- Fold in 1 cup whipped topping and coconut; spread over chocolate.
- Spread remaining topping over pudding.
- Cover and freeze until firm but not frozen.
- To serve, hull strawberries and cut in half.
- Arrange berries on top of pie. Makes 8 servings.
