Mexene Shrimp
- 4 Tbl butter
- 1 medium onion chopped small
- 2 lb med shrimp(peeled & devained)
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 tbl chili powder
- 2 cup powdered milk(make as directed on box)
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 Tbl worcestershire sauce
- 1 dash of garlic powder
- Melt butter in medium pot on med low heat.
- Mix flour and chili powder in bowl, set aside.
- Add onion and saute till translucent.
- Add flour mix in with onion & butter in pot and cook about 5 -10 min on low to cook flour.
- Add shrimp at this point and stir till just starting to turn pink.
- Slowly add milk into shrimp & flour mixture while stirring, to help against clumps.
- Let cook for 5 minutes more then add ketchup, worcestershire and dash of garlic powder and let simmer 10 more.
- Serve over steamed whit rice.
