Lolita's Heirloom Eggnog
- 4 cups heavy cream
- 8 cups half-and-half
- 1 vanilla bean, Split in half to release seeds
- 6 egg yolks, beaten
- 1 12 cups sugar
- 2 teaspoons fresh nutmeg
- 6 tablespoons Bacardi dark rum
- 1 tablespoon brandy (E & J)
- 2 tablespoons whiskey
- Southern Comfort (Jack Daniels is too strong)
- 12 teaspoon cinnamon
- 12 teaspoon allspice
- Combine all ingredients in the pot.
- Stir until well combined.
- On medium- low flame, Cook Eggnog, and stir with a whisk, while on the stove for 15minutes.
- Until Yellow and thickened up, until light steam, is coming from the pot.
- Turn off flame, and cover pot, and let stand for 10 minutes.
- RE-WHISK, before you transfer to punch bowl.
- Serve with Fresh Whipped Cream,and light dusting of cocoa powder or chocolate shavings.
- ( AND A CANDY CANE) Do not use nutmeg, since it's added in the drink.
- Serve in Glass.
- Makes 10 servings.
