Stewed Chicken Marinara
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken, cubed
- 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 12 cup chicken broth
- 1 12 cups chopped onions
- 1 cup medium mushroom, quartered
- 12 cup finely chopped celery
- 12 cup finely chopped carrot
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1 cup chopped zucchini
- salt and pepper
- 8 ounces ziti pasta, cooked and kept warm
- Combine all ingredients except zucchini, salt, pepper and ziti, in slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours, adding zucchini during last 20 minutes.
- Season to taste with salt and pepper and serve over ziti.
