Cauliflower With Curried Tomatoes
- 1 cauliflower, medium-sized (washed)
- 6 tomatoes, finely mashed
- 2 teaspoons ginger paste
- 12 teaspoon cumin seed (jeera)
- 12 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 pinch turmeric powder
- salt
- 3 teaspoons oil
- 2 tablespoons coriander leaves, to garnish
- water, 2 glasses of
- Put the whole cauliflower on medium flame in a pan and pour 2 glasses of water on top of it.
- Cover the pan and allow to boil for 15 minutes.
- Uncover the pan.
- Place the cauliflower on a plate.
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add cumin seeds.
- Allow to splutter.
- Once they stop spluttering, add ginger paste and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
- Fold in the mashed tomatoes.
- Stir-fry for 15 minutes on low flame.
- Add cumin powder, a pinch of turmeric powder and salt to taste.
- Cover the pan and cook for 5 minutes.
- Pour tomato paste(puree) over the cauliflower.
- Serve garnished with corriander leaves.
- Enjoy!
