Baked Butternut Squash Recipe

  1. Peel and cut open the squash.
  2. remove and throw away the seeds and the fibers.
  3. Cut the squash into 1-inch cubes.
  4. Turn the squash into a buttered 2-qt baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle with the salt and pepper, anise seed, cardamom and brown sugar.
  6. Drizzle butter and lemon juice over the top.
  7. Bake the squash, uncovered in a preheated 350F oven for about 30 min, or possibly till tender.
