Chocolate Peanut Crisps

  1. Combine butter, powdered sugar and vanilla in large bowl; beat at medium speed until creamy.
  2. Reduce speed to low; add flour, cocoa and baking powder.
  3. Beat until well mixed.
  4. Divide dough in half.
  5. Shape each half into 6-inch log.
  6. Place chopped peanuts into pie pan or large shallow bowl; roll each log in peanuts to coat.
  7. Wrap each in plastic food wrap.
  8. Refrigerate until firm (at least 2 hours).
  9. Heat oven to 400F.
  10. Cut logs into 1/4-inch slices with sharp knife.
  11. Place 1 inch apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  12. Bake for 7 to 9 minutes or until set.
  13. Remove immediately to wire cooling rack.
